Girl from my high school died in a similar way. Went on a camping trip, got drunk, slipped into a creek with a few inches of water and drown.

There were rumors of foul play, but the people she was with weren't considered suspects and it was suspected it could have been someone else. More than likely though just an unlucky accident.
