Dog Food Snobs

Are dog food snobs the worst kind of snobs out there?

Ordering my pupper some Pedigree dog food off of Chewy, and reading the reviews and had the realization that dog food snobs are worse than all other snobs.

Why would someone care what I'm eating or drinking, much less what I'm feeding my dog who has lived to 14 on a Pedigree diet with next to no health issues? Lol @ Dog Food Snobs.

$70 bags of dog food didn't exist for thousands of years and they lived just fine

These are the people taking their animals into a vet every 6 months for "check ups"


Brb cat hasn't pewp'd for 2 days so take them in for IV saline costing $1200; vet gives them mineral oil overnight..

Indeed. Parents have always fed our dogs growing up Pedigree, they either got hit by a car or lived to be 13 with no more issues. The marketing campaigns for these expensive dog foods is insane.

Chicken by products/Meat by products is just a nice way of saying all the intestines, chit, and all the things you can't feed to humans. Plus look at all those chemicals.

Why are you feeding your creatures anyway?

Nuscience now shows that humans and other creatures needn't consume food or water, so....

Just be a robot?


EDIT: It'll be difficult but all you and your creatures need to do is simply cease consumption of all food and drink. Simple. Just stop. You won't "die"; you'll simply ascend to a higher...a higher plane of...um...robotics. You should - I mean, um, will - become a robot.

In the wild they never ate processed crap with grains and fillers etc

Why feed it to them now?

Would be the same as me force feeding you a vegetarian diet with 90% soy

I boil a ton of chicken and rice weekly. Have an elderly dog with lymphoma who is on her last little stretch with us, so she tolerates that best. The two pups get to profit from my old girls chit situation.

Don’t care what anyone feeds their dog, but there’s no doubt quality food is better for your animal than whatever is in dry dog food

Has nothing to do with my diet, the foods I eat aren't healthy for dogs anyway, feeding dogs table scraps regularly is brutal on their internals.

Lol, show me your science that shows paying for designer food is somehow healthier for dogs. The "science" seems sketchy at best and anecdotal evidence leads to showing that dogs that eat the designer foods run into more issues. At least in my experience.

Are you dense, who mentioned table scraps? I obviously mean home-made dog food. Super quick and easy to prepare. Here are some ingredients:
Chopped chicken & turkey liver, gizzards, hearts, ground poultry bone meal from heads, feet, necks, ground chicken
Chopped sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, raw eggs etc. Supplements to include are seaweed, egg shells, coconut oil. Everything organic/pasture raised/grass fed.

I lol @ people who are too lazy to home-make food for their pets, please don't have children. My dog is 14 years old and haven't been to the vet for more than 10 years. Vets are a scam for the most part unless your dog needs surgery.

Feed my dog purina pro plan… it trips me out when people act snobby about dry dog food. They pretty much follow all the same standards. I have read that pedigree isn’t as good idk about that one though. My dogs get dry food, but I also occasionally Cook them whole chickens and some rice. Also lots of veggies such as carrots.

Still trips me out when people have a mutt (no offense) but they’re not bred for anything and I feed my 1500 GSP, purina. Lol.
