Why da fuark is Lex Fridman so popular

Guy straight up talks like he's autistic. He keeps rambling about 'love will heal us all'.

Joe Rogan is a good conversationist and able to bring out the best in his guests but fridman just puts me to sleep

Can someone aware me on his appeal

Been trying to figure this out, too. From what I understand, some people consider him a deep intellectual. I just don't get it. Fridman is a total snooze fest.

He has zero charisma. Then he tries to be deep and meaningful and he just comes across as even more fake.

He's big enough now that he's getting good guests which is fueling his popularity.

Both Lex and his popularity seem very artificial. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that he is a controlled oppo plant to promote narratives amongst the pseudo intellectual dork web.

Dunno why I don't like him though outside of the above srs. Something about him is just off.
Ive noticed this several times with different guests. He would say something or ask a question so retarded, you see the guest try to remain respectful but have this look on his face like he just realized he is talking to a 12 year old.

Also his interviews are all snorefests. Sucks that such guests are wasted on him.

Rogan gave him a boost and he embraces this persona of a weird genius, dressing the same and being quirky and chit, pretending he is an AI wizard.

He is one of those people that may be as smart as he is hyped up to be but his lane is not in podcasting. I've tried to listen but he is so dry and monotone that I cant.

Agreed. I do listen often but only when its a guests I wanna hear. I also love Rogan but he talks about him way too much. He has a huge man crush on him and its obvious and I'd rather not think about Rogan when I'm not listening to his podacast.

Also he only has guests on after a hype type situation. Crypto for example, I never heard a peep from him or his guests about crypto until after the bull run started but once BTC was $50K thats all he had on. I prefer to find guys that are ahead of the curve, not riding on the coat tails.

Someone I wish had the same amount of reach, with great guests has been on Lex's show a bunch, Michael Malice. He's as funny as a lot of comedians, and has a great outlook on things. He ends up talking about politics a lot, but doesn't give a fuk what his friends' politics are. I listened to him on Lex's show a bit the other day and Michael was basically giving Lex a lot of advice on things. I think Lex is popular specifically because he's a bit of a blank slate with his slow boring style. Comes off nonjudgmental and a bit naive. And he's buddies with Joe Rogan and David Goggins, so he gets a lot of his street cred for that. Larry King was boring AF and he was immensely popular.

Rogan hypes him up as some genius but he really doesn't come across to me as more than just above average intelligence, but far from being brilliant by any means (srs)

same thing with Elon (dead fukin srs). I think it might just be because he's not a good communicator but when I listen to him talk I'm just not impressed in the slightest
