its okay. I am sorry you paid $3k for a PC to play xbox console optimized ports. Its not a big deal, I understand. The big bad miners had to lose, you bought out of principle. Very honorable! Quote courageous! wow I am in awe of your high road!

Hey! I paid closer to $3500 for my full set up! TBH I think for most an Xbox is fine, but I prefer PC due to having more games available that I'll never play, also RPGs (which I mostly play) are mostly PC only, or much better on a PC. Mods make a huge difference too.

If you can work past your projecting you have real hope srs. Just so you know, new consoles have been released recently with the Xbox series x being quite a power house by modern standards. You're welcome.

Just lol at thinking either console compares to a PC. Pc is so goated I didn't think it was still even worth debating anymore.

I've got great news for you!!! This new generation of consoles is actually based on PC Hardware!!! But with an optimized architecture that optimizes ram use! Consoles have been specifically optimized and both a hardware AND software level now using PC's best concepts, from the PC kings themselves, MICROSOFT. I know you will be so happy to hear this as the discrete nature of PC has been such a hard aspect to design around.

Big hugs!

ps, sorry about the auto aim. I COULD use a keyboard with my console but who would do that? Who would CHOOSE a keyboard over the ergonomics of a controller? Sociopaths. But we're better than that. We understand comfort, convenience, and co-op.

You aren't explaining anything new to me, I have a series x in my living room. It's very impressive machine for the price no doubt. But it's only good for the living room. My actual gaming room is powered by a PC.

But also there's levels to gaming and what people want out of it. I play fps games mostly, I can't play apex on a 240hz monitor on my Xbox. I stream on twitch and record videos for YouTube. Pc almost needed for what I want out of a gaming machine.

My pc powers:

4k tv - supported on xbox
3440x1440p unltrawide monitor - not supported on xbox
1080p 280hz monitor (strictly for fps) - not supported on xbox

Oculus rift - no vr on xbox
Racing simulator - it does work on Xbox bc I bought the xbox/pc version. but not my e-brake, and not with oculus. E brake is essential for drifting. And oculus rift assetto Corso is next level racing.
Flight sim - might work on Xbox not sure tbh

I'm a way more active gamer then just sitting on a couch and playing. I'm sure that's fine for someone who just wants to game for a little after work, but I will put in long sessions and streams. A console just won't do what I want when it comes to gaming.

Not to mention all the software advantages using things like discord for comms, audio software for better recording, editing tools, etc. I have a graphic design side hustle which obviously I need a PC for artwork anyways, so my pc well end up partially or fully paying for itself eventually.

Consoles aren't really on the radar for someone like me. I have one cause my gf likes it and it works well for when I'm couch potatoing and bored.

If gamepass wasn't so good I'd prob never bother with Xbox cause I don't want to spend money on games for a system I barely use. But sometimes it's nice to lay on the couch and try out random crap on gamepass. Esp with the streaming, I can just instantly try stuff.

A PC just does so much more but obviously at a way higher price point. Consoles are always going to be for the filthy casuals, and I am anything but that.

As for keyboard vs controller, both are totally viable for shooters in 2022. Tons of pros playing on both. Just personal preference. I have tons of hours on both, and I have one hooked to the pc for when I play on the TV in my game room. Xbox elite controller master race, ducky keyboard master race, gpro wireless mouse master race.

WE must understand that the best things in life are often taken for granted, and like a supportive girlfriend the xbox is there to deliver on your true desires. PCs are required for work, I understand, we all have to achieve balance for harmony, but I think you're getting closer and closer to understanding the true nature of your relationship with the series X and its unconditional nature.

When is love ever formal? Sorry to hear about your arranged marriage with PC.

I don't know what any of that means really. I just like my pc better cause it provides more options, and variety is the spice of life.

I already have a supportive gf, and she has her own gaming PC right next to mine. But she's a casual pleb and prefers to couch game on Xbox unless we are playing a game together. Cause consoles are for casuals.

your path has lead you to xbox series x somehow, so I congratulate you on these "hidden elements" of your nature that are positive.

I've never been a pc gamer besides runescape and Lol.

Had a ps4 since like 2015 or so but finally swapped back to xbox with series S. Have to say I'm enjoying it far more than my ps4. Xbox 360 days were probably some of my funnest gaming moments.

i don't get the people saying why buy a xbox when you have PC, PC = xbox durrrhurrrr

bitch, my gaming PC is connected to a color calibrated 27" monitor for photo/video work. If I wanted to play on my OLED TV I couldn't because i'm not about to disconnect my PC each time and move it to play on my OLED, then reconnect it back to my desk. This is where the console comes handy.. PS5 or xbox.. (i have ps5, and probably this next holiday season i'll add the series x)

I don't give a fuk. I have a Series S in the bedroom, mainly for indies and stuff like that (Hollow Knight, Katana Zero), a PS5 in the living room, and a decent PC in the office. I'd like to upgrade my graphics card (it's comparable to the PS5 or Series X GPU) but I don't want to pay these ridiculous prices. I bought my PC about 2 years ago and apparently it's gone up in value by about 1k.
