Story behind the case is nutty

Basically the kid murdered his parents because he was stringing along a web of lies about what he was doing with his life. He had been telling his parents he had been attending school for years and had gotten a degree and was going so far as to forging transcripts and emails from his college to give to his parents. He would disappear for hours saying he was going to class but i think was just wandering about. He eventually told everyone he was going to Florida to work for space x

Before he was supposed to leave he “fell down the stairs” and was wearing a neck brace so he had to postpone the trip. His dad got suspicious and called his school and they told him the son had not been in school for years.

The son eventually murders and dismembers his parents. He tries to dispose of the body in different areas in addition to burning the body in the fireplace of his house. His girlfriends family had a farm and I guess he asked if he could go swimming or something and later they saw him in a field with a bloody tarp. At one point his girlfriend was on snap map and saw him in some rural area next to a river and she thought it was strange so she snapped a pic of his location. Police ended Up finding his moms dismembered leg there.

Guy has one brother who was concerned right away since none of his brothers story made sense. But now the brother doesn’t have his parents and his brother is going to prison for life
