Denmark no longer classifies Covid as critical disease, all restrictions to be lifted

Denmark becomes latest European country to lift almost all Covid curbs.

Denmark said it would lift almost all Covid-19 restrictions and stop designating it a “societally critical” disease on Wednesday in the latest sign that western European countries are easing or even eradicating strict measures brought in to combat the Omicron coronavirus variant.

Magnus Heunicke, Denmark’s health minister, wrote to parliament on Wednesday saying that he would remove all Covid-19 restrictions on February 1, except for testing on arrival from abroad.

Denmark is the latest European country in recent days to announce it is dropping most or nearly all measures as it follows in the footsteps of the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.


Sweden, Norway and Finland all announced this week that they were likely to ease restrictions in the coming days and weeks.

And Denmark was one of the countries "overwhelmed" by Omicron. Good to see this happening and the more it does around the world the less able our government is going to be at keeping things under "lockdown" and constantly fearmongering.

What's even better is more and more media are starting to say that the tide has changed as well.

They've done this before, would not be surprised if they flip flop in 2 months due to a "spike" or "new variant", just in time to push the new omicron vaccine. Let's not forget that respiratory virus seasons last until the end of april.

Hopefully this time people have really had enough and will refuse to let it happen.

The quacks masquerading as health officials are finally acquiescing to the fact that mass testing is incredibly inaccurate, so testing is not going to be available anymore in a lot of places.

So no new "spikes", and it's become obvious that the WHO can't actually find all the variants in a timely manner ("stealth omgicron") and people haven't been dropping like flies, so that's that.

This is what is confusing me right now. We now have countries in Europe planning to open completely up, some even dismissing covid pass system! (Croatia, Bosnia, perhaps a couple of more, seems like they will do it here in Norway as well), while simultaneously, other countries are closing in on their mandatory vaccine laws starting from February/mars (Austria, maybe Germany, Italy with people over 50, and probably some other countries)
