Eh depends

To get into a domestic school you need a solid gpa but you can still get into law school in the Caribbean then take the bar. Same with docs.

Varies. My father was one. Very book smart person. I also know quite a few lawyers personally, since my first wife is one. Most I'd rate as very average to a little above average intelligence, but who simply worked harder than people smarter than themselves to become lawyers. A guy I know got elected to be a judge based on he and his wife race hustling for years. He had to repeat his 1L (first) year and didn't pass the bar the first time either. He used race politics to fail upwards.

Master of laws checking in and this is pretty much correct.
Then you have people with 105-110 IQ who just works super hard as well.

People with high positions at top law firms are very intelligent and work very hard though. Above 120 easily.

My thoughts as well
"Seen in the light of evolution, biology is, perhaps, intellectually the most satisfying and inspiring science. Without that light it becomes a pile of sundry facts -- some of them interesting or curious but making no meaningful picture as a whole."

It’s all over the board, I’m a lawyer and so is my wife - we know a lot of lawyers.

Some are the smartest people I know, others I wouldn’t trust to bag groceries.

Passing the bar means nothing, sadly.

there are lawyers of many types and various skill levels, some are far more competent than others. this is true of any field with millions of professionals.

Law seems a lot like medicine in that it’s more about information retention rather than problem solving.

Probably above average 110-125.

I’d rank Engineers higher. Most engineers I’ve met are bloody smart.
