Do You Find A Beard Ages You Significantly?

I have a beard I’ve been growing for about two months, I basically look like Al Pacino in Serpico. That’s exactly how my beard is and my facial shape and features are similar. My beard just has a lot of dark blonde in it. Without a beard I would say I look about my age (25) but with a beard I feel like I look closer to 30.

In your experience does having a beard age you noticeably or not much if at all?

Part of why I grew it was to deal with the harsh NY winters.

Depends on numerous factors

If you have wrinkles a beard will make you look younger since it covers up the wrinkles

But if your beard has a lot of white and grey in it, it could make you look older

If you have a babyface, a beard will make you look older regardless

Depends if you naturally hold fat in your face

If you do, more fat makes you look younger. If you don't hold much fat in your face then being overweight will make you look older

I have some slight nasolabial folds that are visible whether I have a beard or not but it seems since they are just outside my beard they are more easily highlighted when I have a beard rather than blending into the rest of my face.

I don’t really know, my family has good skin. I’ve always had good skin, I use a retinol cream I get on Amazon, I try to stick to a solid skin care routine but I think lack of sleep and too much stress has impacted the rate of aging for me. Because I certainly don’t look any younger than my age.
