i assume since the misc is already hidden and locked down, that it will soon meet the same fate as many other forums before it.

People have set up backups earlier with more lax rules, but noone used them. The people that is left is people that will probably stick to the bitter end.
At the moment they don't seem to want to close us down, because then it becomes harder to keep track on us, better to keep us contained.

I think they will never shut it down unless there is another maniac committing a crime from the Misc or something.
The simple reason is that keeping the fools talking on a small platform is sometimes more politically useful than shut shutting it down.
You can monitor them, etc. It's like a fishtank.

Frankly I think it's really outlived its usefulness. The problem is the complete dearth of alternative platforms.
I used to reallylovereddit, there were hundreds of right-wing and alternative subreddits with strong debate.
Then they purged them all so discussion is no longer possible.
