Misc E bike experts GTFIH

Bruhs , I was looking for an option to get to work , and of course it’s spiralling out of control .
At first I just wanted one of those cheap Chinese step threw E bikes like my buddy has , but I went shopping and they are going out of this Bulls brand, but they have access to parts in the Calgary store .
Because there dropping the line it’s a couple K off , so it’s down to 6K .
You have to remember we’re taking Canadian currency .
I’m 5’8” tall with a 30” inseam , and this bike has what I believe is a medium frame at 44 .
But I also have shorter than normal arms,( hence no wing suit for me), so the smaller frame may be beneficial in that respect .

I’ve watched the videos and they praise it fairly well , although there’s comments where people have broken the frame .
I’m 285 pounds btw .

But I’m thinking if I buy this type of bike it will be fun on the trails to ,which we have a lot of .

Anyone have experience with this brand, or have better recommendations for a bike ?
Mostly traveling to work , which is 2.1 km one way , but debating to do some off-roading now

Not a expert but stole one of these back in the day and rode it for nearly 2k miles, **** was a blast it had turbo mode wich made it 0-25kmh in a second. 6’1 @ round 175lbs back then and it was 29”. If youre 285 take the biggest you can but i wouldnt stress about breaking it. Those things are made to last some time they sturdy af. I was jumping thru ditches & **** never had problems. It really isnt **** riding these if you can cycle normally 25km in a hr, you can go 60miles without breaking a sweat its like a moped.

go with the small. I'm between frames but have to size up because I have long ass monkey arms and relatively short legs.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Honestly, buy a decent trail mtb bike with that money and pedal it like a civilized male.

E bikes are heavy a complicated and don't do anything exceptionally well.

Might as well buy a motorcycle if your not into pedaling.

I know that part kills me . Fark , I could get a brand new shiny YZ250 for 10 .
But let’s say I bought an enduro whatever , now you’ve got insurance etc.

Btw I should mention I have a medical condition called atrial fibrillation, which gives me no endurance whatsoever , so that’s why I’m inclined to get a bicycle with power assist .

Ahhh, probably a perfect candidate for an ebike then.

Other than being about the right size, the frame doesn't matter so much, research the motor and battery.

Fox forks and shocks are all pretty decent. Shimano XT is very good.

Ya my mind was mind was blown with the fox shocks , front and rear . Also the rear has a lever so you can increase the compression on the fly if your peddling uphill

I was watching vids with the Specialized brand . Now your paying 10k and up for freaking bike .
They seem to be pretty awesome for trail riding though , and was looking at this one .

It is a motorcycle that you don't need a license for. I think you can't go wrong no matter which you buy, as long as you consult the salesman.
Me though, I absolutely detest fuktards that use them. Especially the ones with the blinding headlights. Fuk makes me want to commit Carmageddon in real life.

For this purpose, any eBike will do brah. Just get any 1K bike you can find.

Getting brand name is only for vanity. And also makes it more likely someone will want to steal it.

For an eBike in general, I think it's going to have enough natural magnetism that you don't want to add to this.

If you have a safe place to tuck it away, then fine. Vanity is what the bike game is all about.

lol , I thought about that , but then had this epiphany that it would be cool to go out in the forest like my old days with my KX250 .
I have atrial fibrillation, and have very little stamina because of it , so peddle assist would certainly help
