Let myself go over a 4 year period. Hit a peak weight of 205 (yes, manlet) and dropped down to around 170lbs from August to December. Met a girl, got off keto for a while and eatmostlywhat I want now, down to about 165.

Great bro, tell us what a day of eating was like for you?

During the week just had a Monster or a Monster and blueberries for bfast.

Lunch was out everyday so fajita with just meat w/onions and peppers or bbq with slaw or salads. I ate a ton of salads. Or 5 guys for burger bowl.

Dinner I cooked pretty much every night. My go to was sauteed chicken with onions and peppers. Sometimes cheese, sometimes a cream sauce, sometimes bacon, sometimes mexican flavored, or cajun. If I had a side it was broccoli, spinach, cauli, brussels or cabbage. Sometimes did smoked meatloaf or other meats. Also made cheese wraps a lot. Take 4 slices of cheese and bake them to make them melt together and stuff with turkey, bacon, mayo spinach, jalapenos. Low carb tortillas for tacos or quesadillas.

I can cook my ass off, so that helps. Been cooking for 20+ years.

I snacked on blueberries, peanuts, almonds and ate a ton of sugar free peanut butter cups from Russell Stover's. They're fuking delicious. I would usually eat 2 of those after dinner.

Of course no calories from liquid unless it was protein shake. Drank whenever I wanted, but had vodka or tequila with Mt Dew zero. It was all so easy.

So no real macro split? Just went hard in the paint on cutting carbs? Not trying to come off as saying you're doing it wrong or anything because it obviously worked for you but curious if you had a protein/fat daily goal

How much did lifts suffer if at all?

All that shyt is overthinking it I'm convinced now. I've done that countless times (no pun) and it didn't get me as lean as keto did or as fast. I've been doing it long enough to know how to hit my protein numbers without counting, but I didn't track anything per se.

After a 4 year gym hiatus I was at my peak numbers, or really close within the 4 months. By peak I mean where I left off 4 years ago. DB pressing 95's for 5 and pullups with 35lbs on me for 5, should pressing the 70's for 5. Not super strong, but ok. Lifts went up the entire time, but I was also getting back in the gym.

As far as a diet to get back on track after letting yourself go I think keto/IF is the quickest. You can really shed the excess quickly and get back into shape enough to take the stress off your joints so you can actually run and work out again.

I ballooned up +36 lbs at one point after a knee injury and lost it all in a few months doing keto/IF. Didnt get back into my workout routine until I had lost enough so my knee wasnt getting fluid on it just from walking normally, but the weight loss was pretty rapid. Not a diet I am willing to do forever, but it worked great.

Low carb/keto worked for me. Lost 30lb over 3 months 1+ year ago and am down another 10lb since without trying. A good, short-term diet that suppresses appetite. I recommend if you're always hungry when cutting calories.

Nice I've been on IF since July but I might take a small break from it to reset myself again maybe take 2 weeks or so and see how my body reacts since I'm so used to not eating at all till I get home from work

"let yourself go" is the understatement of the year. Is your avi your pre photo from way back in the day? Help my fuk brah. That's one hell of a dreamermaxxing period.

Glad you got it together and cut back down, though. Looks much better. I'm currently cutting myself.
