Why Do Girls Ask If You Have WhatsApp?

Like if you talk to a girl talk to a girl on FB or something like that, why do they often ask if you have a WhatsApp? What can you do on there that you can’t do on social media platforms?

I thought WhatsApp was just to call/text people from other countries over WiFi and avoid international fees.

Most likely he is talking to a guy pretending to be a women. They are ewhoring attempting to get the money from you.

Whatsapp seems to be the go to for scams for some reason.

If they're asking for money don't do it

If they're asking to use a transfer app like PayPal/CashApp/Venmo/Remitly/WordRemitly/Western Union. Don't do it

If they're asking for gift cards. Don't do it.

Because they all use WhatsApp, and I think WhatsApp is common among girls, the girls groups use it often and when you contact them, it's easier for them to chat on this app.
