ACL reconstruction rehab

Hey guys just seeing if anyone had any experience with quicker then expected recovery. I’m dropping my nicotine over the next day, other than that I’m very healthy and just caffeine which I’ll probably cut back on too. Should have surgery next week or two.

Obviously following doctors instructions, icing every hour, doing my PT like a part time job and have PT sessions booked out already etc..

Was planning on swimming as soon as surgery site heals. Going to be doing a quad tendon graft. My ortho says they have been seeing really strong results just as strong as the patellar graft but less chance of knee pain later.

If anyone had any particular things they did that seemed to help. Morning walks or jogging as soon as possible etc would like to hear it. Will of course listen and do everything doctors suggest and would talk to them about working “stuff I read on the internet” into my recovery, like I normally do.

did acl reconstruction in 2014 just make sure you have a good PT.

my PT sucked dik and this was back when i was still on my dads insurance. (was only 21) knee never was back to being 100% cause the PT regiment i had was filed with bs exercises and just stim and massage. go somewhere that works with active lifters and chit and have them give you a real program.
