Does anyone actually buy off of ebay?
I’m 29 years old and have never ordered from eBay. It just feels scammy to me.

last ebay orders:
rechargeable usb battery (through bestbuys store)
used docking station for cheap
some car parts to fix some things
custom license plate holder that was 3d printed
graphics card
plain non smart digital watch
this covers more than a year though. looks like only 10 or so orders in the last 2 years

Used to buy off them all the time when I was really into collecting rare retro gaming chit. That was a long time ago, and that market has really skyrocketed in recent years so I hardly go there anymore.

Sure do. Some things you can't find anywhere else. Lately I've been buying mostly used and China knock off parts for my ATV. But I've been buy stuff on there since like 2004. Even bought a couple cars from there back then.

Ebay seems to be the only place you can find items that have been discontinued. Get my favorite cologne and shoes from there that were both shutdown but people still have some left

You realize that ebay and amazon share vendors right? Amazon has Chinese/foreign companies pushing cheap electronics, trinkets, "life-hacking" plastic junk that normies gobble up because it's cheap and shows up the next day. Those same Chinese companies have Ebay storefronts too, except they charge shipping.
If you think one marketplace is "superior" than the other, you've fallen for Amazon's marketing of being a "premium" subscription when in reality you're being sold the same junk. Amazon and Walmart are direct competitors and should be seen as such, IMO Ebay still has a bit of intimacy similar to Craigslist where it's a 1 to 1 transaction between private parties. I'm pretty sure Amazon only lets "verified sellers" push their way to the top of the search results and basically squashes any semblance of an open market.

It seems the scam is to get your stuff then get eBay to issue a refund.

Got some subaru oem stuff from an ebay seller for about 10 percent less then ordering from subaru.
Rain guards, weather mats, a few smaller things, nothing major.
Also some sim racing stuff. Got the ebay special handbrake for my sim rig, works like a charm.
Generally just check the sellers feedback and it's fine.

Item 18.00
Shipping 27.00
Brb
I sold some antique traps on there about ten years ago and did really well. Bidding wars were awesome. Sold one more recently for some cash and got half of what I did years ago for the same trap.
Wont sell or buy on there now.

Have bought off eBay multiple times. I recall an issue once but PayPal got me the money back pretty much immediately.

I always get odd cords and the like from ebay.
Plus they seem to have some decent deals on motorcycle parts I cant find elsewhere. I needed a choke cable, was $80 online and backordered for months. Got new OEM in factory package on ebay for $15 free shipping.
I also sell my artwork on ebay. gets it out to a lot of customers. Have to pay fees of course but you just do the math when pricing it.
