Used Performance car Market Prices dumping

Best part about the gas price increase. Poorcells can't afford gas anymore so performance cars are already seeing a massive drop in price. The bigger the engine the better.
Lot of cars already back down to pre-pandemic levels. Been looking for a third car to do some mountain runs on the weekend too. Lets Go!

Have really been thinking about selling the project car and picking up something ready to roll hard......but now might not be the best time to unload it....dat big block life, gets about 7mpg.

was looking at Z06's last night.....hnnnnnnnggggg so hard.

I've been waiting for 6th Gen Camaro SS 1LE prices to come back to earth. I hope in the next 6 months they drop to low $30K.

Just looked and I'm not seeing much difference in C7 Z06's. Was kinda looking for one a couple of months back.

Yeah I've been keeping my eye on used cars for the last year or so, for the first time in a long time I've seen "priced reduced" tags online. Which sucks for me because I now know I'm looking at a new Maverick and don't wanna get hosed on my trade.

Maybe its the area I live in but I dont know a single person that has a truck to "drive around town in".....

Im sure this buyers segment exists but I have a hard time believing a large population of truck buyers put up with the disadvantages of a full sized truck to only drive around town in...

I've been watching the c7z market for a while and I don't anticipate it dropping much if at all. With the c8 being a complete redesign the c7 will remain desirable for a very long time. It's also the last generation of corvette to have a manual transmission (which I and many others prefer).

Agreed, that was kinda my point as to why truck prices aren't dropping. Tradies can't exactly start hauling dump trailers with honda civics because gas is $4/gallon

Anyways, I live in the south and pretty much every guy owns a truck as their daily driver. I find it kind of hilarious seeing people renting ghetto apartments or living in mobile homes driving around in $60k trucks but to each their own.

A huge percentage of truck owners don't actually use it for work/hauling, so there are a lot of grocery getting trucks around.

True, but the 4x4 crowd and tradie crew have always kept used truck prices up. The current situation is a bit of an anomaly, but used trucks, especially 4x4, have always held much of their value.

Trucks still see upward pressure from work fleets and people buying them to write off as work expenses despite not actually using them for *real* work


I put 40,000 km on a 2021 F-150 Lariat rental last year. Crew cab, extended box, 99.5% of it was just me driving back and forth alone and with zero cargo except my personal crap



People dropping big $$$ on high performance vehicles shouldn't be worrying about gas prices tho...

Dude tell me about it. Just sold my sports car for a tacoma. Fukkin base model thats 2 years old cost as much as my new sports sedan. Only bought it because it only has 2700 miles on it and is a v6 4x4.

It's not a Nova, it's a '72 Skylark.

Wife doesn't want me to sell it cause she knows how happy it makes me and how much I love it (and she really like it too) but it's kind of one of those "never meet your hero's" type of thing. It awesome and has a whole personality/feel/vibe to it, but in reality....it's a 50 years old car that still needs another $5-$6k (on top of the $2k that I've already dropped in it) to be where I want it and I'm doing all the work (because I want to)...which is not an issue at all....BUT were about to start trying to have a kid and I know for the next 2-3 years my time for the project will be limited/non-existent.....hence the thought of just selling it and dropping 25-30k on something I can just jump in and hoon.

Noticed this. I want to get myself a 2019 c63 AMG and the prices were nuts a few months ago, I actually just looked today thought the same thing. They're down significantly. Interesting to see the trendline reflect that.
