For pushing the weight limit it didn't seem like the helicopter was struggling. I imagine they build in a buffer in those stats?

He wasnt sure to be honest. He siad if he got it off the ground, he would have burned a few hundred lbs of fuel off by the time he got there, giving him more comfort when trying to delicately place them.

He said if he was uncomfortable he would make a few passes around the island and burn off more fuel before attempting a hover. Oh well, it worked. lol

OP, as an avid rotary and fixed wing enthusiast, how's the industry as far as flying helicopters for a living? Seems very limited and not much pay.
