Thought about getting glasses but figured I would get lasik since it’s it’s only $2500 more

Got it last year. Still passed off I waited this long. One of the best things I ever did. However it did take ~3 months for my eyes to stabilize and get dialed in. My vision is better than I ever had with glasses.

Make sure that LASIK will fully correct your vision. I looked into it but was told I'd still need reading glasses. I ended up getting refractive lens exchange. Worth every penny imo.

LASEK is the best $3200 I've spent in my entire life. Had it done in 2014, and my vision is still 20/15. Just do it.
I waited until my late 20s to get it done, and I should have done it at age 22ish. Would have improved my 20s greatly.

Before surgery:
-1.5 Myopia
Some astigmatism
After the surgery:
25/20 vision;
No astigmatism.
but...dry eyes got worst (I already had it).
Contrast Vision (grey on white) above average (which is good).
Mild Starburts around headlights and streetlights at night (which is annoying af).
I have this fear of "Fuk... I hope it doesn't come back!!!!" Especially when I am spending long period of time studying/using screens.
This being said, would definitely do it again.
Before surgery:

After the surgery:

No astigmatism.

2 of my co workers at work got it 10 years ago when it was still new. It was great first few years. It then got bad again and they did it a second time. Now their vision is fcuked. Can't see far things get blurry when there's lil light. They didn't really take good care tho. But I think the tech should be a lot better now. But still risky imo. Prob gotta ask people how it is long term before u get it.

Most eye specialists told me it DOESN'T cause myopia, however, a lot of "after-covid" (so 2020,2021,2022) - so when people started getting more time indoors, watching TV, using the computer - studies show it may have an impact.
If I would bet I would say it definitely plays a role (but, I'm not a specialist). Thats the only "difference" between me (and my cousin) and the rest of our family and we are the only ones that developed myopia.

I got mine 7 yrs ago. For the first few months there were halos around every light. For the next 5 years it was amazing! Best money I've ever spent. Fast forward another year. Now I can barely see anything and glasses don't help. I've been to 3 different specialist and they all say it's LASIK related. I don't know what to do as I feel I am going blind. Good luck to you though. Hope you don't have the same experience as me.

Yes, a long while back. Works fine. Current vision is 20/30 in one eye and 20/20 in the other. Was horrible prior. My vision is deteriorating but I'm getting older and natural. Some blurriness, use reading glasses sometimes, etc...
The process itself, at least a decade or two back, was not painful but stressful. You also have to recover and it's not painful but you can't shower and stuff so it's not fun.
Overall, highly recommend.

Had it done yesterday srs. Woke up this AM feeling around for my glasses but realized I could see perfectly in the dark. This is the best decision I could have made and I wish I did this in my 20’s.

I used to wear contacts and had dry eyes with them anyway. **** glasses.

Coudln't believe I could see clearly in less than 24 hours. I was -5.75 in both of my eyes and blind as a bat.
THe only part that really bothered me is smelling my eye burning when they start the laser but that only lasted 5 seconds.
Didn't feel a thing, the eye drops did the trick.
Do it op! I paid 3500 back then with a lifetime warranty. FOr 2500 dollars, that's a no brainer.
