one of the few series where the heroes lost in a tournament in the last arc but the outcome they were trying to reach got accomplished i believe

Sinning Tree (邪念樹, Janen Ju ), translated as Tree of Depravity) - A demon world plant, the tree is a carnivorous plant that feeds by siphoning the life of prey through its tendrils and roots. Upon ensnaring a victim, the tree responds to the memories of the victims, flooding the consciousness of the victim with hallucinations of wickedness, and forces them to replay their fears as it feeds off of its victims' life force, never stopping until its host is dead. If, for some reason, the victim continues to struggle, then the tree will generate extra tendrils in order to restrain its victim as it feeds. Only used once, to trap Elder Toguro for eternity, near where the tunnel to Demon World is being opened.
Pretty brutal metaphor for sin

Would say it's pretty accurate too

Sin and fear go hand in hand, sin sucks you in and drains you

Idk about the show but might watch it, the writers of these shows and movies combine some heavy concepts with martial arts stories

It reminds me of the DBZ episode with the first spirit bomb and the whole planet is chanting "satan! satan! satan!" to fuel Goku's spirit bomb

Still scratching my head over this one, is it mankind's weakness for sin that leads us to the truth of God? Is the darkness a beneficial foil to the light?

Idk bro maybe Taoist inspired themes here, but it's also like a fighting show for young audiences, so would be weird to take it so seriously

Pretty intense stuff to think about, I know it's just a cartoon, but there is a grown ass person with a brain full of ideas behind it
