the key is not to add your point of view or opinion on the topic, she doesn't care about that. What you are supposed to do is delve deeper into wtf she is thinking about in the first place.

Instead of saying something that ends the conversation so abruptly, instead go for another question like "That is an interesting idea, do you think we lived passed lives together?

Men have the problem of wanting things to be concise and factual. Women are more interested in trying to have their emotions tickled by thoughts and ideas that you can string them along with.

best thing to do imo is leave it about 2 weeks (shows her you've actually given it thought and aren't trying to appease her) and be like i've thought about what we spoke about the other day and I think there might be something there .. blah blah blah
