I just saw that. I was thinking "best athlete" purely from an athletic ability standpoint, but supposedly in terms of wins and scoring plus athletic ability, he can be argued as the GOAT.

It's not hard to say. I think we have Gordie Howe and Mark Messier, and Jaromir Jagr but they don't even compare in the same sport.

Best overall athlete was probably Jim Thorpe, the most dominant individually was Wilt Chamberlain, and the best long term domination was Kareem Abdul Jabbar from 6th grade till age 42.
