Handyman miscers, how to prep metal for Cerakote?

They recommend sand blasting, I dont have access to that. I hit it with a red scotch brite, as I hold it now, its extremely smooth, like glass. I doubt the coating would stick

Do you have a drill and wire brush attachment?

I have a bunch of drills, I can get a wire brush no problem. I just want to make sure any texture on the metal is not going to show through the paint if I end up using something coarse

Gotcha! Yeah, you might end up gouging the metal in certain places as you're prepping. Is it sheet metal?

No its a revolver, I can get it sandblasted at a place here, but I figured i would try and save the 75 bucks they asked
