Would the US rek Ukraine in a war (no nukes)?

Considering Ukraine are holding their own and now going on the offensive against the mighty Russia, how would we do in we invaded them and Russia was supplying them with weapons?

I would guess the US would have a hard time if Ukraine was being supplied with weapons and materials by outside powers. I mean...that's one reason why Vietnam was a huge headache for us.

Based on this war, I think the US could destroy them both at the same time tbh.

We could, but we wouldn't. The United States political and military leaders haven't had the stomach to "rek" an enemy since WWII.

Putin doesn't have the stomach to flatten cities and go after the soft targets in order to force the hard ones to surrender, but the US government might just be evil and insane enough to do so. They totally destroyed Syria, Iraq, and Libya, and those weren't even full of hated white people.

Yes. The US would have air superiority in 3 days and its over as far as war goes. Maybe in 12 hours. They could wipe out Ukraines ability to conduct conventional warfare in 2 weeks at the longest.

Could the US occupy Ukraine? Not a chance without doing things they have been unwilling to do in the past. No one can occupy a people that dont want to be occupied.

Depends on the intent. If the US didn’t care about civilian casualties or infrastructure, it could decimate all of Ukraine in a few days. No nukes needed, and it wouldn’t matter if the EU was assisting Ukraine.

I think so because of massive aerial bombardment in a wide open country much like desert storm. Only 16% of Ukraine is forested as well, would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Then again, the Ukrainians would probably employ a completely different tactic in that scenario, not enganging in the open and retreating into the cities. Javelins vs T72's works. Stugna P and rpgs (as the ukrainians would not be supplied javelins) vs Abrahams not so much.

Wasn't there a war in "the Ukraine" in the 1990s - or was it the early noughties?

I'm sure there was something going on in the 1990s in Ukraine...

The only nation that really stands a chance against us 1 on 1 is China, and that's simply because they have hundreds of thousands of troops to simply sacrifice and will play dirty. They will sacrifice so many troops and not give a fukk too. We at least have reason towards welfare when utilizing troops. (Ded fkn Srs)

Yes absolutely. The fed wouldn't want that since they can't bankroll on the reconstruction projects tho, so never will happen. Russia should have swept Ukraine in 2 weeks or less. Don't know wtf Putin is doing, but he just seems like a dumbass to me now.

He's not an idiot. He isn't utilizing all his resources on Ukraine and then becoming a usless nation with no defense after invading Ukraine. There's a reason why they're mostly just throwing their sh!tty vehciles from mostly the reserves into the fire. (Ded fkn Srs)
