I think they're ok if you don't skimp. I have a cheap Lenovo Chromebook for general browsing purposes and it feels cheap and I had to replace the screen once. It was easy to do but still. Wife uses a cheap Lenovo Windows laptop and that was laggy out of the box. I have a 9 year old Toshiba that runs better than that. Same concept, decent but don't skimp on processing power.

They're good. But I'd look for a good deal across similar spec Asus/Lenovo/dell/HP rather than settle specifically on the brand

Lenovo had a spyware backdoor at the bios level. Not much of a fan of them after reading this, and not sure if they're still pulling this chit.

I love the old thinkpads from the I B M days. The T23 was one of the nicest laptops I've ever had, and still want a 355cs, or a 755cs. But there's no way I'll buy a Lenovo.

they've been hammered for years now about the hinges breaking, i don't know if they ever fixed the problem though
