Has anyone else bought into the Canon mirrorless system?

Sold my Nikon gear last year , a Nikon D800 dslr and all its glass for a mirrorless . I have a Fuji XT1 , but I wanted to go with a full frame sensor , so I purchased the Canon R6 .
I would have preferred a larger sensor then 20 megapixels , but I don’t like the design of the R7 with its lcd display replacing the knob on top . In the future if canon redesigns it with a knob on top like the R5 , I’ll consider it .
May have been better off with the Nikon 7ii , but after holding both in my hand , I prefer the ergonomics of the canon by far .
Have purchased 3 lenses so far, their 15-35 2.8 , 24-70 2.8 and the 70-200 2.8 .
I can’t get over how overpriced glass is now , as I used to think 2K was expensive for a lens.

Anyways , I was experimenting with trying bring in Fisher Peak with a flag in one of our towns park.

You can see the flag and Fisher Peak here from where I was standing . I took it with my iPhone for reference.







Then I took it again with the canon r6 and a 70-200 lens .

Almost went dslr myself to get back into the hobby, but ended up getting one of these (x100v, 2nd hand cause no stonk anywhere). havent been out shooting with it yet tho

what tripod?

panasonic gh5 here very rarely use it

lol , I have a tripod but didn’t use it as it’s not required with all the stabilization the lens and the sensor provides.
I would if I was bracketing multiple shots though , but in this scenario you can’t because the image is not static


Only thing with dslr’s are they are heavy , especially with 2.8 F glass . I prefer my Fuji XT1 in some ways , as it’s half the weight, and now some of these these mirrorless cameras are getting into dslr territory weight wise

yeah no doubt. Just wanted a small, go anywhere all the time one this time round.. And the fuji colours are hnnnngggg. Been out of the hobby for some years. That is a beast of a cam tho OP. grats brah

nice, mirrorless are changing the game but there are days where I miss the simplicity of my canon 6d. That camera was such a workhorse and worked so well

Yes Fuji has been known to take the best Jpegs out there . I’m really feeling skeptical about selling my XT1 . I have a buyer from Ontario coming this way on holidays , and I’m selling him the hardly used XT1 and both 2.8 lenses for 2K .
The glass alone is 4K to replace after taxes in Canada , so he’s basically getting a free camera and the one free lens .
I should buy a prime lens to keep it small and light , and use it for hiking if I was smart.
With my luck I’ll see a Bigfoot and need a telephoto though.
You don’t want to get too close to them , as I have heard of instances where they’ve killed humans . Plus apparently they smell terrible , so you really want to keep your distance .

Ya I think I’m nuts tbh . Things like new too boot , and Fuji must have the easiest controls to navigate . Both lenses are 2.8F .
Going to miss it
It’s a shame the 15-35 , or the body doesn’t have stabilization. Never had issues though , as you typically don’t require stabilization at low zoom ratios .
The 50-140 has stabilization though

Thanks Bruh . Considering how far away the mountain was , and all the atmosphere in between, I’m impressed it came out that well .
I’d love to do that same pic when the clouds have purple and pink in them at sunset , but it’s tough to get the just right conditions , and I’m too lazy to go out there every evening lol
