can anyone recommend a soundbar (for tv) ?

something is wrong with the volume on my television and it's barely audible compared to when i first got it a couple years ago....im not sure what happened since i have never raised the volume higher than 30-40% of it's max.

how much should i spend on this particular gadget? i don't know sh*t and i don't wanna get ripped off.

I'd advise against a sound bar and would instead point you towards a 2.1 system or an AV receiver + 3.1 or 5.1 (or 5.1.2, 7.1.2, etc).

Sound bars offer crappy performance for value if you compare them to stuff like the edifier s350db or s360db.

I've been down the soundbar route and its OK - but would have rather went with a AVR + 3.1 to start off with.

Don't even bother with atmos if you can't install the speakers on the top front walls at least.
