Have any micsers used a foil before? Looking for info



I want to try this on lake Michigan. The sport has not hit the beaches around here yet, so I don't have an opportunity to try before I buy. Looks like the equipment can get expensive.

I briefly dated a chick in college who was a fencer, it was an awesome strategy for her to get into a better school that she could have with her brain and get a scholarship on top of it.

In the early 90's the number of female fencing athletes in the united states was extremely small

Down here in Naples it is extremely popular and looks like a blast but it ain’t a cheap hobby to get into to.
There’s a company that gives you a lesson and then you can buy the foil if you like it.
With all the money down here it’s no wonder it has exploded.

I’ve got one I use on an inland lake in Michigan.

If you’re just starting off you want the water pretty flat, Lake Michigan won’t be a great spot for you unless it’s first thing in the morning.

The boards aren’t cheap, so be prepared for that
