Success. Find something you like and get good at it.

The guys who're always confident usually have some type of success.

extra test helps

what is your identity OP? what kind of lineage do you hail from? what significant work did your ancestors do, as far back as you can remember? Laborer? Soldier? Slave?

you have hundreds of thousands of years of ancestors blood sweat and determination under your belt which has caused you to be (genetically) what you are today.

best BELIEVE they had it harder OP, perhaps not in the mental aspect but in the physical. Don't let them down

Instant confidence in 1 small step.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard was.....

<will blow some miscers' minds>

Your flaws don't make you unlikable, they make you relatable. Lean into your flaws.

Read that again.

Stop trying to hide your flaws and being fake. Embrace them and be yourself.

My main thought, too. Whether you think you're going to succeed doesn't *really* matter. If you approach a girl with a calm, cool manner, it doesn't matter whether you think she'll like you.

Fear and doubt hold you back if you 1) avoid approaching the girl because of your doubts or 2) stammer because you're that nervous.

Believing you'll be successful will make avoiding the above two pitfalls easier, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary.

This is a perfect way to sum up the answer to the OP's question. Damn that was poetic. Nice job bro. Everything piece of advice in here is totally relevant.
I would only add for the OP that patience is also key. Dont expect your feelings to change over night. It takes time. Build yourself up via the advice given here......and over time you will start to see and feel the change in yourself and the way people engage with you.

Reduce your care for what others think/do/perceive to the best of your ability.

Increase your tolerance for rejection. When talking to strangers, come to the understanding that you won't solely have positive encounters, and come to terms with the fact that if a stranger rejects you, then they were a stranger before, and will continue to be a stranger in the future.

Think positive and have fun, actually try to want to socialize and know/meet people. This one is particularly easier said than done and changes with your mood.

Last tip is to acknowledge socializing in itself is a skill. It has to be refined and practiced. Isolation due to COVID or whatever other reasons can deafen the skill. As can losing the desire / option to socialize in general for whatever reason.

"Fail forward, and accept rejection." Quote from Visel.

Don't know anything about my ancestors besides that their from Afghanistan.

My grandpa lived in India and had like 10 siblings and he was the oldest one and his father passed away at an early age so he had to become the man of the house. He was the 1st generation to come to the states and built up a pretty successful laundrymat then sold that and started a money transferring business. He let a ton of people live in his house before they got on their feet when they moved to the states. Crazy thing he almost never in his life talks about the struggles he went through.

I always wondered as a kid why my grandpa had a different Aura then practically everyone I knew. Idk now to explain it other then everyone in my community showed extreme respect and admiration for him. Now he's chilling in India and owns a big farm with a lot of cattle. Damn my grandpa is alpha as hell SRS.
