Massive company hiring for management - but only if you're BIPOC.

Saw this on my social media because I have clients who work for MLSE. They are hiring a new management trainee, but right in the ad they state that they are only going to look at people that are either black or indigenous.

Kills me how this is such a double standard. If they advertised that they were only looking for a white person, or a male instead of a female, they'd be evicerated. Like, if you want to increase diversity go for it, but don't make it so damned blatant. What if a black guy named John Smith sends in a resume? Should we be attaching pictures now?

That isn't legal. You should apply and then when they reject you for being white have them put that in writing, go get a lawyer.

1st thing that will happen is they will hopefully be legally challenced which will cost them money even if they win. Second thing that will happen is their hiring from a smaller pool of candidates will mean they will hire some that are sub-par while their competition will get the better candidates, resulting in lower revenue and costly mistakes that will drag them under. Go woke go broke. It should be made the 11th commandment. srs

Im applying for a position for a review committee to rewrite some curriculum **** in my field (national level). It would just be a side project so not overly invested but the application asks if Iidentifyas black, indigenous, R2D2C3PO+, etc. Tempted to identify as one of them.
