Not including real estate , have you bought anything for thousands of dollars that you didn’t regret buying ?
The reason I’m curious is I’ve made a lot of stupid decisions in my life , like classic vehicles I could have lived without etc , but I’d say my home theatre is up there with purchases that were expensive, but yet I’ve never regretted buying it .

Home theatre put me back over 25K , but it’s used a lot , and I like quality sound and video .


Home gym . Well the rubber flooring put me back thousands all by itself , and I try not to add up what I’ve got into , 10’s of thousands would not be exaggerating.
As much as I love it , I’m not 100% sure I’d do it again if given the chance .







Arnold . Believe it or not I’ve spent over 4K so far , and there’s still parts needed ,as I am going to animate him a bit once he’s screen correct .(broken endo arm etc ).
I have to say somedays it’s been worth it lol’s wise , as people always see in their peripheral and find it weird that someone else is standing in the room , but I was watching a scary movie last year and for the first time in years he really freaked me out for reason .
Would I do it again, probably not

This is a bit of a sore subject for me . I loved playing piano when I was kid . Didn’t know much but liked to tinker .
I made this setup in my living room ,and made an easel to hold an iPad so I could watch YouTube videos and memorize the notes.
I purchased a $3,500 Roland electronic piano , as I didn’t want to move a real piano in my living room.
Anyways I had a little bit of tinnitus in my right ear from damage that occurred at our local theatre of all things.
It wasn’t terrible, but the guys I work with are full aware of my issue, and use every opportunity to make it worse .
Unfortunately I let my guard down one time at work , and one guy intentionally let a huge steel underground vault door drop right by my head as I was picking up my tools .
It pretty much was the last nail in the coffin for my right ear , and I can’t even be near a piano , as the high pitched squeal in my ear gets so bad it’s impossible to sleep .
So no choice but to sell . It’s unfortunate,as I was having a blast too
