I have a gap between jobs and want to travel but of course can’t get someone to come with me on short notice. I looked at Europe tours with a company called contiki and basically they plan everything for you (transport, accommodation, some excursions) but you also get tons of free time. Reading reviews people say you will party hard and have a great time. Only thing is that it seems a bit expensive compared to booking everything yourself but I haven’t done the math to know.

Any miscers do one of these trips?

yea i'm thinking of travelling solo because most of my normie friends always make excuses/too broke.

never heard of contiki though

When I traveled solo I ran into a lot of people that recommended Contiki and I never heard of them either, but it must be rather popular. I heard about it at least 3-4 times from random travelers abroad. None were American.

I found solo to be quite a bit of fun, but there might be stressful moments so always be prepared and have good organization and plans. I also was renting cars so there's always that concern for liability, but I never ended having much of an issue ever. If you aren't sure what to do, there's always places doing tours. I definitely recommend biking tours, great way to meet people and have fun while learning and seeing a city.

It’s worth paying as a lot of people are in the same position.

You can do it on the cheap and you will meet some people on the normal bus. But it won’t be as much fun; far from it.

If you go for the cheap option then you will meet people in hostels anyway.
