Nothing wrong with video games. Everything in moderation.
It's not one singular factor that wrecks a person's life. You have to inspect complex issues like that through the lens of a multivariate analysis. Imagine a pie chart and ask yourself what the individual slices are and how much variance they each capture. Then, you can go even further - how can you break the individual elements down even further? Any other approach is extremely reductive and not helpful at all.
Not to get into this, but it's like with someone who shoots kids in a school. It's not just 'gun laws' that contributes to why that happened.

What really has had the most impact is men listening to others telling them what and who they are supposed to be.
Guys will always be guys, its just the way we are.
What happens is guys will try to be what the media and social media tell them they should be. Those things are for women who dont know what they want to eat day to day so why would you trust them?
Quit paying attention to that stuff. If you want to use it, just use it for entertainment. Its like watching tv and trying to mold yourself on a fictional character in a show. Thats not how life works.

I think porn is damaging, but literally everyone has had some experience with it, even the most alpha. It does seem like the more it's indulged, the more deficiencies it exacerbates.
Video games are usually fine IMO. I play slow-paced strategy games anyway, and don't think there's anything inherently destructive with that.
Social media has done much damage, I think, by forcing a pressure of conformity towards this effeminate zeitgeist.
I actually think our displacement by machines should be number one answer, OP. We are no longer literally necessary for survival and are left with an ugly purposelessness which is only partially masked by the thin veil of cool masculine jobs which still exist. Obviously the traits which formed on the basis of this former need still exist and tend to thrive where they do, but they are being naturally selected against by our automated environment and the society which has crystallized around it. That, I think, is really at the root of most of this, with everything else more symptom than cause.

There are consequences for the convenient, easy life that we live. Dumb sh*t jobs that are glorified data entry, time sucks like social media/browsing, getting nickel and dimed for EVERYTHING so no one pursues meaningful things, and families/individuals are becoming so insulated from the community. It's sad because it feels like the very core of what it is to be human is being rotted away.

Social Media gives females more options and makes them believe their perceived value is higher. They would never settle nowadays, because there's always some better option out there.
Back in like 2009/2010, I remember being like 290 pounds and obese and unattractive at the most miserable time of my life. And I'd still occasionally get girls who were like 6.5-7/10 coming up to me that I could have dated if I were in a better spot mentally. Nowadays, that version of me would be a total outcast and might struggle to get attention from girls in the 3-4 range.

Seems like I was lucky AF to date when the only thing was MySpace. I don't recall having any trouble cutting back on the porn and video games to make time for another human being.
