So I just binge watched season one of "American Crime Story - People vs OJ Simpson" and something interesting just came across.

There is a scene depicting Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden after the verdict where Clark explains to Darden why she set out in a career in law. She says that she was raped as a young girl in Italy by a waiter and he got off the hook.

This shocked me... not the scene, but the fact that this particular scene and its facts were obviously fabricated from the actual people. I researched this trial before and read up on Marcia Clark. My memory was that this was false. Marcia Clark was never raped in Italy. She was actually raped by a waiter on a trip to Eilat, Israel. The waiter was released.

My question to the producers of this show.... why? Everything else on the show was spot on with reality. But why this specific thing? What does it serve to put the location in Italy opposed to the ACTUAL PLACE FUKIN PLACE IT HAPPENED AT? Hollywood is literally hell bound on never mentioning anything negative having to do with Israel or Jews. Even when it is non-fiction and available online.

In hindsight this may seem irrelevant... except that it isn't. It takes a special son of a bitch to look at the script and say "Nah, we cannot even risk associating Israel with this. Change the location to a more Christian place". It is huge in the fact that even a second of time mention of this state and it's people in a negative context must be altered.

The mentioned scene in this show really made me realize the depth of this whole thing. Not even a word about it is allowed.
