She ended up divorcing him because her family (in another state) were having problems and she wanted to move there to support them. Literally threw everything away, left her husband and now their kids are in a broken family

That's really not accurate though, it's the same people getting married/divorced. How many people do you know on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th marriage..?

I got married but refuse to sign any government contract aka marriage certificate.

Met a guy at the bar today, he was 43 I believe he said, and he said he ALMOST got married but was so glad he didn't. Dude was super red pilled and anti-marriage. Said women won't ever be satisfied, always wanting what they don't have. Once they have you, they want what they don't have - aka not you. I explained I'd only consider marriage if kids were in the idea. He then went a little too far red/black pilled saying "how do you know she wants YOUR kid." I hope I don't end up quite as bitter as that guy in my 40's tbh, if I stay single the whole time.

It is 50% of first marriages. The stats are higher for second and 3rd.

I argued with a younger guy about this, but he was convinced he could just find the right one.

I got married. Was with her for 8 years before asking though.

It will be a one and done situation. If the marriage fails, I will never seek a relationship again. I will live that expat life in Thailand smashing 20 year old thai girls into my 70s

if you are just about to get married then its the same fkin thing. you ARE in the first year, your odds are 50%. and if that is true then as a newlywed you odds of making it 2,3,4 years is even less than 50%.

and no chit the odds get smaller the longer you get married, up untill 0% when you die married. thats how odds work. way beside the point.
