Chest and shoulder exercises with shoulder pain

you guys have any recommendations on exercises I can do for my chest and shoulders? Currently have a bad shoulder injury, even benching the bar makes my left shoulder scream. Really don’t want to miss out on gains.

go to a physical therapist and fix your body. getting over an injury will lead to more gains in the long run. adding strength to dysfunction will just set you back.

Can't imagine you were making gains to begin with because if you're in pain you weren't doing things right to begin with.

Try DBs instead of BBs. Use different arm positions/paths. Mess with bench angle(s). Find a ROM that doesn't hurt.

If youcan'tfind a ROM that doesn't hurt when messing with all of those variables, then there is a fair chance your injury is bad enough you shouldn't be lifting.

Edit: Assuming your injury isn't lifting related. If it is lifting related then get it sorted out before lifting again.

Lol, as a guy who is finally getting over a bad case of tennis elbow that kept me from doing upper body for about 45 days, you just gotta rest it. Maybe some resistance bands to maintain. But the more you keep pushing it, the longer the recovery if it's a tendon(which it probably is).

It sucks, but time to get a bike and do cardio for the next month.

Stop lifting. Let your body heal.

If you keep going it will only prolong your healing and end up being worse for you.

Damn seems like I just need to rest it. I can’t even do pull downs atm. Only can do rows and deadlifts. I even squats kill my shoulder. Hoping I don’t have to have surgery.

Take a week or two off completely and see how that works out.

WTF bro? Ignore my previous post. If this is your current status and not just (ugh I've got this small nagging pain when I do very specific movements) then of course you should be resting/rehabbing it. Come on man.

This dude been here since 2008 and doesn't know when the pain is that horrible its time to stop. He still wanna keep lifting so he won't lose his "gains" while prolonging this pretty bad injury. Mental illness of piss.

True. Thinking I’ll take a month off and rehab it and see where im at after. Pretty sure I injured my shoulder by sleeping on it constantly.
