I made a mistake last year. I decided to paint part of my house outside with an oil based paint hoping it would hold up better with the heavy rains we can receive here. The paint has done great against the rain. The new problem I have is that the oil based paint grows mold on it! It looks terrible and I'm concerned about the negative health effects. I'll be grinding the paint off in the fall. I'll be buying a good quality respirator so I don't breath that dust in.

I've read that aflatoxins from fungus and molds are considered some of the most toxic cancer causing substances.
