Should the Isle of Man TT bike race be banned? 5 deaths in 2022

Due to Covid the TT took a break in 2020 and 2021, but was back in 2022 and made up for the lapse with 5 deaths in 10 days of racing.

Killed were:
- Mark Purslow, 29, Wales, Supersport TT qualifying
- Cesar Chanal, 33, France, Sidecar TT (Driver)
- Davy Morgan, 52, N. Ireland, Supersport TT
- Roger Stockton, 56, England, Sidecar TT (Driver)
- Bradley Stockton, 21, England, Sidecar TT (Passenger)

The last 2 are father and son who were competing together in the sidecar event. Way to go dad!

Here's a notable TT rider Michael Dunlop.

Michael comes from a family of bike racers.

And how about this. Just a few days ago British pensioner Keith William McVeighty died in a motorbike accident in Chiang Mai, Thailand, after a Chinese woman pulled out in front of him.

Keith had previously survived competing in the TT, but an impatient Chinese woman posed a bigger threat. RIP Keith
The motorbike lover, an experienced rider who had previously competed in the Isle of Man's TT race, was flung onto the roof of the vehicle before falling onto the road.

The reason people love it is because of how dangerous it is. All the riders know the risks, it's a part of the sport.

This whole mentality of banning everything because it might be dangerous is the kind of pussified womanly bullchit that has turned modern day society into a total chit show. Like god help it if anybody can actually enjoy anything or push themselves or what we can do in any way. Just sit on your ass and stick some VR helmet on your head, order some fast food, and wonder why we have become a bunch of fat lazy retards with no drive to do anything.

In 2018 one guy died on the track so they sent a safety car out. Another rider drove head-on into the safety car! And lived, but can't walk now.
The incident occurred after Steve Mercer was instructed to ride back along the course to the paddock following an earlier incident on 30 May in which Manx racer Dan Kneen died.

The course car was en route to the Churchtown scene of Kneen's accident.

Mercer, 36 and of Maidstone, remains seriously ill in a Liverpool hospital.

not a bad way to go TBH. I ride a motorcycle daily though and have accepted the fact I'll probably die alone, bleeding out on the side of the highway one day.
