Amazon has a 150lb set for 190 bucks… yeah I need something heavier than 25’s but it’s a start.

over time all separate. play it again sports (if that still exists) usually has a variety of plates for 50 cents a pound and you can occasionally find a barbell there.

the one thing I am glad I didn't go cheap on is an Ironmaster Superbench. Its great.

For home workouts, you're better off with resistance bands. Cheaper, and they won't take up so much space

Got things at different times. Had some dumbbells and pullup bar a long ass time. Then a 40 lb weight vest, then some heavy kettlebells. Got a vertical climber for cardio. I enjoy HIIT more than anything so these work for me, especially kettlebells.
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!

Pieced together, and I also bought it only a few months ago . I got a squat rack witha pulley system and 2 olympic BBs and about 350 lbs of olympic weights and bench for about $500.00.

Everything I got was ******** marketplace. My wife found all of it. Best deals on there.

I started lifting with a long run of steel pipe and car batteries roped to it on each end.
Pieced it together from there. I think the only thing I bought new have been 45 pound dumbbells.

I started my current home gym off with basically just a rack, a flat bench, a two barbells, and a bumper plate set. Then I've been adding to it over the past few years.

Bought the essentials new to get started...

Rack
2 Barbell/Weight sets from Academy
Adjustable Dumbbell set off Amazon
Adjustable bench

And have just kinda one pieced it at a time from there

Someone above mentioned bands and I also highly recommend them
Almost infinite amount of iso stuff you can work with bands and they take a very surprising amount of use and abuse
