Soft White UnderBelly - Inbred family update

Familial update: Fascinating story and I am so impressed with Mark’s sincerity and gentle nature with them. As an amateur genealogist I was intrigued about their lineage, so I dove in. For anyone else also curious, it seems that the parents of this clan were indeed first cousins, but to complicate it further, and something I have yet to run across elsewhere in 25 years of research, they were first cousins born to IDENTICAL TWINS. Twin boys, one had a girl and one had a boy and those kiddos made this family. The parents were father John E Whittaker born to one twin brother and Gracie I Whittaker born to the other twin brother. Originating in Virginia, they moved a short distance over some years to reach nearby Odd, WVA. I pray they continue to thrive with the assistance of caring folk. And before you say “thrive?” …it’s all relative. Clearly.

Deformity and poverty aside I admire how close they are even in old age, most american families get dissolved into adulthood and everyone fuks off to their own separated lives. They stick together and have a stronger familiar clan than 99% of the rest of the american families.

They're the polar opposite of the destruction of the family unit that the misc always rants about

There’s inbreeding that goes on around here on my rez due to alcoholism/poverty/drugs etc and it’s a sad state of affairs. I mean being born into bad homes is debilitating enough but then the mental defects that go along with it guarantee they never really have much of a shot. Soft white underbelly is a great channel though, the Whittaker’s are damn sure kinda tough to watch initially, I recall feeling sick to my stomach the first time I watched it.
