Why you shouldn't hang around the wrong people

Story time. I want to tell this story because I want to relay helpful information to the Misc.

My childhood friend is/was on house arrest for a year now. It started because he got into a fight with his GF's EX. Something something happened and he ended up stabbing the guy. Non life threatening. My friend is not a violent guy at all. And it's the neighbor's testimony that will hopefully set him free as he's awaiting trial right now.

He was working at Hallmark at the time and was just 2 weeks shy of getting his 45k 401k. Because of this situation, Hallmark canceled the 401k. So he lost 45k after being with Hallmark for 5 years.

So now he's been on house arrest for 1.5 years now. Gained 40lbs, and the threat of having a criminal record looms over him.

This just goes to show you, don't do stupid chit.

Damn that sucks.

Yeah I just got enough tenure at my company a couple months ago to fully vest my 401k, so I got an offer elsewhere yesterday tbh. Kinda excited but nervous to see how my management is gonna react. Kinda hope they just let me go easily lol.

even in my early 20's i knew to walk away from women with ex drama.
