DeGOATtis meeting with GOP megadonors

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is planning aprivate fundraiserin Utah later this month that is expected to draw some of thecountry’s wealthiest Republican donors as he signals a possible run for president in 2024.

DeSantis is set to head to Utah the week of July 18 for the private gathering, according to people familiar with the matter. Many asked not to be identified because the campaign is trying to keep the private event from getting too much public attention.

Though DeSantis is coming to Utah to raise money for his 2022 gubernatorial reelection campaign, fundraisers held in far-flung states likeUtah, which is more than 2,000 miles from his home state, often suggest national aspirations.

I cant even imagine how low the odds of that would be...

Desantis has a strong personality and isnt going to be a quiet backseat passenger. I cant see any way Trump tolerates Desantis as VP.

Trumps choices for important positions were pretty awful most of the time. Just don't think he realized how bad some in the GOP actually were

Trump needs to just fade away. He shot himself in the foot way too many times. It's time for someone like DeSantis to take over with someone like Rand Paul as VP. Now that would be biblical.

Well, considering Trump lost jobs as POTUS while we’ve gained jobs under Biden, I’ll say it’s a massive improvement.

Don't care. It's his record. First President to lose jobs as POTUS since Hoover. Time for new blood from the GOP. Trump failed.

Funny enough, according to DeSantis, Trump's Admin holds some responsibility for calling for lockdowns to begin with. Ooops?

https://www.forbes.com/sites/nichola...h=66dbc90a46c2

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said on a podcast episode that aired Friday one of his biggest regrets in office was not speaking "much louder" against the Trump Administration's calls for lockdowns in the early days of the pandemic, with the comments coming just days after former President Donald Trump appeared to label DeSantis "gutless."
