These brave teens saw an old man illegally crossing the street, and knew he was in danger. By not walking in the designated crosswalk, the old man was exposing himself to risk of being killed by an inattentive driver. The teens fled into action, and used safety traffic signaling devices (cones) to gently user the man back to the curb, while also signaling to potential drivers to slow down. Once the man got back to the curb, he collapsed due to heat related illness and had to lie down. He stopped breathing, and the teens attempted to use the cones to perform CPR on the man by rhythmically compressing his lungs. But their efforts were unsuccessful

The mayor is meeting with these teens soon to give them medals, and to offer them jobs as roadside safety officers
