Just had a stoner epiphany (no stoner) srs is this possbile?
I'll begin by saying I believe climate change, warming etc is all bull.
With that being said would it be possible to have vast areas of forest crafted by humans as a sanctuary that promotes wild game to flourish so much that it could efficiently feed a large protion of the population via hunting?
You purchase a license that allows you to hunt and gather animal protein for your immediate family and relatives?

On a small scale yes. However not for a major portion of the population, otherwise live stock wouldn’t have ever been necessary. If we all relied on hunting for food tomorrow the wild game would be gone very quickly. Also the climate change people don’t want more animals to be our food source because the methane from their **** or something.

There's already vast areas of wilderness. The problem is that they tend to be pretty far from .major population centers making them an inconvenient way for most people to get their food. Then there's also the not so small matter of hunting and fishing being hit or miss and/or seasonal, making it unreliable. From a cost standpoint, it would probably end up costing even more on a per pound basis once all expenses are factored in.

The easiest way is to get back to independent farming. If you create more local farming then you'll not only minimize food waste, but also greatly increase quality of food and help families instead of mega corps that ruin our food sources and make our supply chain system fragile.
So instead of wild preservation and hunting, just localize farms and incentivize farming or personal homesteading. It would take strain off hunting as well.
Interesting idea though OP.
