No true miscer.

They all are stock experts, options strategists, etc. I would be shocked if any miscer is not UP 20% this year

Up 0.44% ytd, 0.29% over the last year. Switched everything to securities at the beginning of the year when I saw the chit hitting the fan.

Up about 10% including company contributions.

I changed investment strategies about 4 months ago. I went with the most stable option that I could.

Youโ€™d have to be blind not to see this coming once the Biden regime got there policies and money printing put into place.

Real talk moved my money into a safety fund back in March. Just LOL @ u if you didnt see this coming. Im also hedging my bets as all new money coming in is going into a group fund which is down -1% but if/when economy recovers I stand to gain bigly. So basically no matter what I don't lose.

Smart man here^^^^, my first Smith Barney guy told me DON'T WORY UNLESS YOU ARE 1 YEAR AWAY FROM RETIREMENT.
And it is sooo true, you ride the waves and look every quarter because at this point unless you are 64.5 years old......it is just numbers on the computer.

Not worrying about it, and haven't looked. I'm just long term DCAing, and I'm not retiring any time soon.

Haven't looked at 401Ks, RH, CS, or CB in literally a year

The funny thing is that most of us will be dead and gone before we can pull out our retirement funds

don't check, don't care. Continuing to contribute $1k every other week like a good wagecel, knowing my account balance will be ~$10M by the time I retire (srs)

My 401k is only down like $500 but I only just started pumping money into mine. Just started this job a few months ago so I'm only like $4k anyways lol.

But all my other investments are pretty much down like 20 percent. Not sure if I should roll over my previous 401k (rolled over into a trad IRA) into my current 401k or just leave everything as-is

Actually donโ€™t hate bear markets

When markets hit all time highs itโ€™s fun to constantly check and thus obsess over your net worth. Seeing it jump five figures in a day for doing nothing is addicting

When itโ€™s low itโ€™s healthier to not check at all, and then just keep buying at a discount

As others here have said, who cares. It being high or low shouldnโ€™t massively change your behavior

Iโ€™m not retiring anytime soon, so I couldnโ€™t careless. Iโ€™m looking at this is as a great opportunity to pick up shares on sale.

it's down.
but i'm not retiring for a while though.

my finance guy went over my work stuff with me and suggested some stock bundles that were good performers historically but have chit the bed like everything else.
He set me up with some stuff 10yrs ago outside the company and even though that has dropped also it is still more than double my investment so i'm taking his advice.
nice thing about those is it's all pre-tax and my company matches 100%.

so in 15yrs i'll either be ok or a part time greeter at walmart. lol.
