Coworker keeps asking me why I'm so quiet

Every time he sees me he says stuff like "why are you so quiet" or " did I make you mad" or smarts off when I just tell I'm doing good saying that's the most positive I've ever seen you be

Why do people do this? It's very awkward working with someone who keeps saying that kind of stuff just because I don't talk much to them

Why not just talk to them about Netflix?

Next time when you get into the office, try asking “you watch anything good recently?”

Consider watching something so you can talk about it at work

You sound like the kinda extrovert that is blind to how big of a loser you are to people who don't give a chit about your little world. If people don't have anything to say to you, that might be because you aren't that interesting to talk to.

Hasn't bothered me since. Probably can't do that at work though. Even if you do it in a nice, calm matter, they'll still get butt hurt because everyone's super sensitive these days. At work you can't say anything that's not super nice or agreeable or the soy males get offended. I mean it's why i just stay to myself for the most part, especially if i try talking to people and don't relate to them. Like i'm not gonna just keep trying to have those awkward conversations lol.

Yeah honestly that's the main reason why I don't try to get too social with people. You really gotta feel them out to know what kinda chit they might take offense to, because everyone is so hyper-sensitive these days. I just like to avoid unnecessary conflict, and it simply comes down to that. I don't want to be arguing with someone over some bullchit, I would much rather just have a simple casual conversation and leave it at that unless we are hanging out a lot and I can get a real feel for them.

I think it's because of this man. David says it literally came out of nowhere around 2013-2014. Everyone has anxiety issues and other issues which is why they need to bubble wrap everything. Talk to any people in their 20's, they are all like this now.

For real, even when I am chatting it up with friends, I can be a bit on edge in public at times because you never know when there will be some massmedia Karen wokescold type trying to easedrop as an excuse to start chit with you or take something out on you. It's a dangerous world we are living in, where some extremely intolerant, narcissistic people are all around.

Honestly, I'd probably just be casual friendly. It's kind of confrontational thing to do, so I would probably get a little confrontational right back. Like just ask them a question, something like "well what do you like to talk about" or "how's it going with you." It can be a good ice breaker if they turn out to be nice.

Yeah you can't say anything random anymore it all has to be in PC code. I've had people legit freak out on my just from being my assertive/cocky self. But i don't act like that anymore because i can't really. I've just learned to stay to myself and not get involved with anything. That's my attitude everywhere now. I used to be very social but all of this has thrown me off srs.

Extroverts can’t even fathom that someone can sit there in silence and be at peace. A lot of them are running away from their own thoughts.
