Derek MPMD has shown cases of men who were slick bald that were able to get their hair back.
I personally think hair loss can be reversed if you catch it early enough. If you wait until you're 40, by then the hair follicles would have been dormant for so long that it would probably take a decade of constant drugs just to get it to grow again.
The best option is to prevent it by starting treatment as early as possible.

Stem cells? Seems like they’ve been discussing this for ages for all kinds of ailments. It doesn’t seem like it’s ever really made the impact that so many science journals and enthusiasts claimed it would a decade or so ago. Or at least, not yet…
