"Words are violence"....what does that even mean?

A lot of times when you engage with a leftist/trans person, they keep insisting that if you don't agree with them or their views then your words are no different than inflicting violence upon them. How does that even work? It's one thing to verbally threaten someone with physical harm, but if I simply disagree with someone's views, then how is that "violent"?

Then of course the next thing they'll say is that I'm privileged to have my views or to not recognize that I'm "violent". Alright, fine, I'm privileged. Now what? What do you want me to do about it?

It means they want to justify violence against you. I've encountered those people on Twitter. They're retarded. At the same time, if you're a future mass shooter like the Buffalo guy, maybe it's a good idea to slap some sense into you before you go full autismo.
