Horse racing but i dont it differently.
I figure if I can double my bet I am doing pretty good. Just like playing black jack.
I only do the show bet though. Imagine if you are watching the 100 m mens race in the olympics and Usain Bolt is in it. Obviously, he will most likely win. If you bet on him, you will win the bet but not make any money.
The second place guy will also be predictable. Thats where the show bet comes in. No telling who will come in third.
have to figure now that the first and second arent going to make much so I look for the horse that is about 12-16 to 1 to come in 3rd. if it does, it will payout about 4- 1 which will be better than the first and second place payouts.
of course it can also finish first or second and you still win. Only get the 4-1 or so payout but thats pretty good.
i do pretty good with this strategy and it lessens the risk quite a bit. Have to pick your race too. If there are a lot of horses its too hard. Too many with good odds messes it up too.

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda
