Just go with your feelings
If you meet the love of your life the day after, why tf would you not pursue it?

One month for every year.
Four years of marriage = you have to wait at least four months.

However long you feel in your heart is needed. If youre looking to others for the answer youre not asking the right question.

There is no time frame. All depends on how long it takes you to heal. Some people can move on really quick, other struggle for years. All depends on how much of a bond you two shared. Losing someone you'd classify as your soul mate could crush you for a very long time.

Op, I broke up with gf of 4 years. Been a little over a month now. Apperantly she is already on tinder, I can't say it bothers me much at all. Probably due to the fact that I don't have feelings for her

Not sure about the widow but there is no way in hell I’d date a chick that just recently lost her husband. Would not end well for either person involved.

My cousin bit the dust in a car wreck in like 1997 when he had slid off a snowy road and an oncoming truck slide off right over top of him. He and his unborn kid didnt make it and his wife was the only one to live, well, not long after, his best friend got with his wife. I dont think the family had a problem with it. Tf are you supposed to do? be alone forever?

Legally, if you're not married, then you're single. Your relationship was fake and made up and it's no wonder she moved on quickly.
If you get married, then the rule is one month for every year of marriage.
You marry for four years, you have to wait at least four months to get back on the market.
You marry for 10 years, you have to wait at least 10 months.

Meanwhile, the psychology of men tend to make them want to jump into another relationship after a divorce or death. However, that tends to result in bad outcomes because it's a very extreme form of "rebound relationship" and the man has unprocessed grief and stuff they haven't dealt with.
Women tend to avoid relationships after a death and are doing themselves a favor.
If you are a man or know a man who experienced a death of an important loved one, you might want to advise them to be honest and deal with the death. Life needs to go on but not without thinking about life first. Also, you don't want to use an innocent person to get over grief, which you can't get over like that to begin with.
I have noticed that men can get crazy with spending, hookers, etc after a girlef situation. They are trying to feel "alive" but that is not going to make the dead person they miss come back, so it's dangerous behavior that won't help.
