99% of the federal govt should be defunded and the responsibilities left to individual states, remove all federally owned land aside from ports and return it to states/private land owners.

It would be nice if they'd just do their damn jobs from top to bottom. Imagine the amount of rot they could clean out with all their powers.

But they're such a massive and overpowered LE organization that it can be argued they actually impede prosecution of the biggest criminals, until it's deemed expedient to go after them (usually for political points) like Whitey Bulger, Epstein, Gotti, etc. And in the most heinous cases, they are used against patriots like Snowden/Assange.

I support anything that decreases the size of the federal govnt. The FBI is a good start. The IRS should be next.
