New GOT spinoff feels cheap

It looks the same as far as sets/costumes/effects go, but everything else feels lesser. The story, the writing, and especially the acting. Everyone seems like they're actors who could barely get work anywhere else. Maybe they had a hard time with their budget? Not a single person stands out as having an interesting personality.

Anyone else caught it?

Wouldn’t know. Brotha Targaryeans and the pathetic last couple of seasons of GoT prevented me from wasting my time on anything else from this universe.

Hard to see even zoomers getting into this. Everything feels rushed too - each scene feels hurried to get to the next. Might be a bonus for ADHD people I guess.

How woke is it? Doubt they ever recapture the magic of the first few seasons of GoT which totally nailed casting. Same applies to almost all franchises or in general. You just cannot cast these things now without massive SJW influence. There is such a generic, unmemorable feel to casting these days.

if hbo isn't willing to retcon and reshoot last few seasons of GoT then I don't care about anything else they do with GoT srs.

It had some black people with blond hair (lol?) but other than that didn't seem to have much. It just feels sort of empty and hollow. I'm not seeing any personalities that stand out. The casting just seems super weak. I don't expect a lot of known actors, but it would help to have SOME established talent. And the new talent just doesn't stand out.
